Wang Jingyun
Young artist, born on 26 August 1996 in Neijiang, Sichuan, China.
Entered the Venice Academy of Fine Arts in 2019. In October 2021, he graduated with 110/110 in New Techniques of Art - New Media (a Two-year Master's Degree) from the Venice Academy of Fine Arts.
His art explores the themes of everyday life, individuals, circumstances, and time, with a focus on pessimism and introspection. He is a versatile concept artist who enjoys creating new meanings and stories through the combination of concept and content, using a variety of materials including ready-made products and natural elements found in human society. His works depict the human experience, our understanding of existence, and the passage of time.
He hopes that the public will understand in his work the poetic imprint that underlies each project, pessimistic and introspective at its core, while also implicitly embracing a subtle emotional force.
His works have been exhibited at the Venice Pavilion of the 59th Venice Art Biennale in 2022 and the Venice Pavilion of the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2021. In 2021/2022 he is also Artist-in-Residence at the Bevilacqua la masa Foundation. He also serves as a cover artist for the Summer 2022 edition of IMPETUOUUS magazine. In June 2023, his solo exhibition was organized by Carmelo Graci collection in Mantua, Italy, and in September he participated in La Chapelle Saint-Naxos, Greece. Antoine's Art Residency. His works have been exhibited in China, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, and South Korea, and are collected by some well-known institutions.
